e.g.) The manual page of TagCloud Plug-in includes the common template for manual pages with a PositLog logo and a link to PositLog Manual (Contents). It also includes the alias that shows the list of Standard Plug-ins. Its original sprite is at the top page of Plug-ins. What we should do is only update the original sprite when we add a new Plug-in.

Advanced Usage

The Alias is implemented as a PositLog Plug-in. It works like other Plug-ins.

For example, you can add an individual header and footer to every Alias by writing plugin template. See also "Alias Plug-in" to get detailed information.
How to create an Alias?
  1. Select "Copy sprite" from the context menu (submenu).
  2. Go to any page, and select "Paste alias" from the context menu (submenu) and paste it anywhere you would like to.
Alias is the sprite with the same contents as those of the original sprite. When the original content changes, the alias also changes.
  • Alias can be created on any page. It need not to be on the same page as the original.
  • The properties (width, color, frame, etc.) of the Alias can be different from the original.
Alias is a method of quoting an image on many pages or pasting a frequently updated information like "News!" on many pages. Page Template is also a way to reuse the same content, but, Alias has more detailed options. Besides, one page can have only one Page Template, but many Aliases.

Alias of Sprite

Link to the original sprite (src)

The link to the original sprite is shown by the “src” link at the bottom of the Alias.

In the ViewMode, both “src” and “link” are displayed at the bottom of the Alias only if “Show link” is checked on the control panel. “Link”" is the link to the Alias itself.

In the EditMode, “src” is always displayed whether “Show link” is checked or not.
